First stop was the bakery for a nice cinnamon roll for breakfast!
Another lovely day of sun and reasonably warm temperature. We stopped at many of the look-offs to capture some of the coastal views and watch the ever present lobster fleet harvesting its catch.
We took a break from driving to hike in to see Macintosh Falls. A pretty stream and flowing falls.
We diverted from the Cabot Trail to follow the coastal road and ended up in Neil's Harbour for lunch. Great seafood chowder at the Chowder House.
This is classic fishing village with lobster boats unloading the day's catch. I would have bought a couple if I knew we would have a pot big enough to cook them at our next cottage.
We encountered a "Bookmobile" from the public library here. I haven't seen one of those since I was in Public School!
From here we continued along to Ingonish and the Keltic Lodge where we hiked the Middle Head Trail out to the headland. Lots of beautivul views fron the sheer cliffs.
That pretty well finished off the day's activities and we went to find the cottage we have rented for two nights. A nice one bedroom unit with views of the headlands where we were hiking across the bay.
Too bad the blackflies kept us off the deck enjoyong the late afternoon sunshine.
